This American bomber served during World War II. Although it did not receive the recognition of the more famous B-17, it did perform the first bombing raid against Tokyo in 1942. Led by James Doolittle, a squadron of North American B-25's took off from an aircraft carrier in the Pacific to bomb the Japanese capital.
