About This Quiz

In the 120 odd years since they were first invented, the motor car has come a long, long way. Early models were not called "horseless carriages" for nothing. Why? Well, they looked exactly like the carriage pulled by a horse but now the power came from an internal combustion engine.

As the years passed, the motor car changed in design, but perhaps the most popular throughout history has been the four-door saloon or sedan. Why? Well, it's the easiest way to transport a family in comfort. But that doesn't mean that other designs were not popular. Just think of all the types of cars that pop into your head when you think of the variety of vehicles in motoring history. Roadsters, two-seat convertibles, coupes, pickups, SUVs, minivans - the list goes on and on.

So in this quiz, we are going to test your knowledge in identifying a range of cars from across the history of motoring. Some are modern, others are a few decades old, while others still were probably on the road before you were even born. And they encompass a range of vehicle types including sports cars, hypercars, racing cars and some, well let's just call them oddities.

Good luck!
